Laura Davis is a 23 year old comedian based in Perth, Western Australia. She started her comedy career at the age of 19 in 2008 as part of the Triple j Raw Comedy competition, taking out first prize in Western Australia and going on to win the title of RAW recruit at the National Final in Melbourne.
In 2009 Laura was selected to perform in the coveted, MICF produced ‘Comedy Zone’. In recent years she has performed her solo shows ‘Ants Don’t Sleep’ and ‘The Dog in the Ink’ at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Wild West Comedy Festivals.
“sharp and keenly observant… (Herald Sun 2011), Laura’s is playful, starkly honest comedy that blurs the line between audience and performer. Equal parts manic and marvelous, Laura has quickly established herself as one of the country’s most promising and original young talents.
Laura can be seen performing each week at Lazy Susan’s Comedy Den, The Laugh Resort, Shapiro Tuesday’s Comedy, The Comedy Lounge and Little Creatures Comedy in Perth.
“You end up leaving the show having not only learned a little something about your subconscious via an hour of hilarity, but you walk out feeling warm, contented, practically hugged…Go and see Laura Davis if you like laughing and feeling nice. Don’t see it if you’re a masochist and hate life…”

“…Gently told but sharply written. Observational and surreal. Whimsical and, if a heckler demands it, caustic. Laura squeezes ideas like old toothpaste tubes, each surprising extra dollop more satisfying than the next.”

“…Possibly an even more promising discovery, was Laura Davis, who won the prize for the best first-time entrant to the competition… she served up a mixture of cute scenarios and killer gags – including the one that was easily best of the night, about a 40ft shark…the imagination and the craft is evident, even in such a newcomer.”
