About Emma

Emma Zammit was forced to begin a standup comedy career in early 2008 after her sister decided it was time to move her MC Hammer moves and one liners out of the lounge room and enrolled her in a stand up comedy writing course for the sake of family harmony.

After graduation, she was inspired to work the hard yards and tighten her comedy antics on Sydney’s open mic stages. In April 2010, Emma was chosen from amongst the best new acts in the country to perform in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s “ Comedy Zone”.  Emma then went on to perform in Queensland as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow.

In early 2010, Emma moved to Perth, WA and has impressed as a stand up performer.  Following in the footsteps of Good News Week’s Claire Hooper, Emma landed the stand-up support spot for the perenially sold-out “Puppetry of Penis”.
