Bonnie’s ultimate goal is to be an 85 year old comedian, still rocking it onstage and blowing the minds of kids born in the 20’s. Bonnie made her comedy debut in February 2008 when a local comedian made a bet with her to do 5 minutes on stage.
She’s now a confirmed comedy addict, works on a number of comedy projects and has toured the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Festival and UK. She is currently based in Perth, Australia and has taken on a new character known as ‘Famous SHARRON’.
She recently won ‘Best Local Comedy’ at FRINGE WORLD 2012 and was nominated for ‘Best of the Fest’ in the Wild West Festival 2011.
“Emerging local comedian Bonnie Davies ended the night and was the most impressive performer of the three, Davies, a relentlessly cheerful and optimistic soul, charmed her audience… her confidence is reflected in the show’s title Laugh Or Your Money Back… Judging by the audience reaction, there wouldn’t have been anyone queuing for their cash after the show”
2011 The West Australian
“Though relatively young, her experience is evident, as she is able to keep audiences laughing pretty much non-stop for an hour.”
2011 Chortle.com [AUS site] – Melbourne International Comedy Festival
“Also impressive were spots by two pupils of the Jeez Louise course. Bonnie Tessa Davies and Marion each executed confident, well structured and hilarious spots…”
2009 Groggy Squirrel – Keep Your Skirt On Showcase
She has performed with Nina Conti, Joel Creasey, Corinne Grant, Claire Hooper, Celia Pacquola and Andrew Horabin.
