Hello comedy fans,

You may have noticed a few changes around the Bootleg website of late. Odds are you’ll be noticing a lot more changing around Bootleg over the coming weeks and months. Starting with our weekly comedy update – which will list all the regular comedy nights and as many of the one-off comedy events we can find delivered straight to your inbox (or your Facebook wall).

Just ‘like’ the Bootleg Fanpage for updates or if you prefer more direct communication, join our mailing list to be kept in the loop.

We are pretty excited to welcome stacks of new talent to the Perth scene including two Eastern state residents who now call Perth home (Janelle Koenig - from Melbourne and Emma Zammit – from Sydney) and the American Cornelius P. Ganders (comedy brainchild of Werzel Montague).

Plus a few more up ‘n coming local comedians to be added over the next month… oh the suspense…

Now is a great time to check out some of the comedy rooms in Perth as many comedians return from Edinburgh tours and overseas jaunts to spend summer in their hometown in WA.

To see some top local talent we particularly recommend checking out Joel Creasey’s tour, the Barefaced 2011 Story Battle and Shapiro Tuesdays (Perth’s experimental playground for comedians trying out new stuff!).

Happy giggling!

3 NIGHTS ONLY! LAST PERTH SHOWS!

What happens if the girl you think is “The One” turns out not to be? Dumped, depressed and slightly drunk, actor/comedian Zack Adams figures that if you can’t laugh at yourself, you may as well let an audience do it.

A cross between a rock concert and group therapy, LOVE SONGS FOR FUTURE GIRL is a powerful new Comedy Cabaret about love, loss, heartbreak, growing bad ginger beards and everything in between.

Following critical and public success in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney in 2010, the Fringe World season marks the start of a 2011 world tour of LOVE SONGS which includes the 2011 Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Canadian Fringe Circuit.

“Laugh? I nearly Died…This is a consistently funny, professionally executed show from one of Perth’s most industrious comedians”
-The West Australian

“A one-man musical comedy that tells a hilarious but heart-wrenching tale of Zack’s lost loves in a narrative reminiscent of Nick Hornby’s magnificent rock comedy novel High Fidelity.”
